    1. Are you licensed and insured? Yes, we are fully licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities and carry cargo, motor vehicle, and general liability insurance. 2. Why should I hire Centaur Moving and Storage? Our team is more than just a moving crew - we're your partners, committed to making your move a seamless experience. We are always ready to assist you with a positive attitude. From packing to loading and transportation, we handle every aspect of your move with the utmost care, allowing you to focus on settling into your new home and feeling genuinely cared for. 3. What is Smart Booking Reward? Please take advantage of our Smart Booking Reward. There are no risks and no stress. Book your move by paying a $100 deposit right away to ensure your spot and earn a $30 discount. Change your mind? You can cancel your move within 48 hours after the reservation and receive a full refund of your $100 deposit. Need to make Changes? No problem! Up to 3 days before your move, you can change the booking date/time at no additional cost. 4. What is the Arrival Time Guarantee? In rare cases when a crew misses an arrival window, we reimburse $50 for each full hour of delay. 5. What is the Extended Damage Protection? In addition to the default basic coverage, Centaur Moving guarantees extended damage coverage free of charge. This option provides for the lost or damaged items based on current replacement value at the time of loss or damage up to $300 per item and up to $1000 per performed job (specifically per one bill of lading). Centaur Moving reserves the option of repairing and/or restoring the damaged item to its original condition.

    1. Do you charge for stairs? No, we don’t charge for stairs. 2. Do you have hidden fees or charges? No, we don’t. One of our values is transparency. All of our customers receive a fixed rate. 3. Do you provide fixed pricing? We offer our customers a fixed price that includes the following: volume of your items, mileage, special requests, and moving complexities. Please provide a moving coordinator with a complete list of your belongings, heavy items, and any other additional requests (if applicable) to ensure that your moving quote will be accurate. 4. Can you assemble and disassemble the bed? Yes, we can. Our professional moving crew can dismantle and assemble your bed and other furniture items in the new place; we have all the necessary tools. 4. Are heavy items (piano, appliances, etc.) included in the price? Yes, they are. To guarantee a fixed price, mention heavy items like pianos or treadmills in your inventory list. Otherwise, you will have to pay additional costs.
  • PAYMENT
    1. How do I get a quote for a move? You can call us at 617 651 3434 or email info@centaur-moving.com. 2. What kind of payments do we accept? We accept debit cards, credit cards, Zelle, checks, and cash. All balances are expected to be paid in full when the moving service is accomplished, excluding any deposits paid in advance. Please Note: Balances paid with credit cards will incur a 5% transaction fee. 3. Do you require deposits? Yes, we do. We request a $100 deposit for a local move and 30% of your moving quote for an interstate move to ensure your exact time and spot, as our team is in high demand. We recommend that you book your move 3-4 weeks in advance.
  • PREPARATION FOR MOVE
    1. Do I need to get a parking permit? We can obtain a parking permit for you; we'll charge for the parking permit plus a $50 service fee. 2. Do I need to empty all my drawers? Yes, the better the preparation, the more effective and smooth the move. You can also contact us and notify us if you need packing. We will do that for you. 3. What are the critical elements of a successful move? Keeping the communication line open with us is essential. Good planning and preparation are the vital part of moving. Make sure you mention all your belongings in the inventory list, so our professional movers can do their job perfectly. 4. What should I expect from Centaur Moving & Storage leading to move day? Our communication flow is designed to eliminate any unwanted surprises. You can expect a call from us two days before the move to touch base and provide any support. Additionally, you are welcome to call us at any point at 617-651-34-34. 5. What should I do with jewelry, keys, important documents, or anything else I don’t want Centaur to move? As you begin packing, set aside one area to place these critical items, label it "Don't move," and communicate your intentions to the crew. Our professional movers will ensure that your belongings are always kept safe. 6. What if I need to add extra belongings or heavy items? Will my moving quote change? If you have more items than what was quoted, please call us as soon as possible. We will update your quote to reflect the changes in your inventory. It's crucial to keep in mind that last-minute requests that significantly increase the volume of your move should be communicated before your moving crew arrives. Your proactive and early communication is key to ensuring a smooth and efficient move, and we appreciate your responsibility in this matter. 7. How should I pack my belongings? keep the same/similar items in the same box; keep items from specific dresser/furniture pieces in the same box; once packed, box weights should be at most 35lb. If you can lift a box yourself, that box is good to go! label all your boxes.
  • DAMAGES
    1. Do you offer insurance for all of my items? Yes, we do. By default, as required by the Department of Transportation, your belongings will be covered with free BASIC coverage of $0.60 per pound per article (item). 2. Will you compensate for the damages or losses? In addition to the default basic coverage, Centaur Moving guarantees extended damage coverage free of charge. This option provides for the lost or damaged items based on current replacement value at the time of loss or damage up to $300 per item and up to $1000 per performed job (specifically per one bill of lading). Centaur Moving reserves the option of repairing and/or restoring the damaged item to its original condition. 3. What happens if movers damage premises? Please be sure that we will take care of the consequences. Centaur Moving insurance coverage is sufficient to handle all kinds of issues.
